On a slightly different tack I am always surprised at how many people think that the running of a different family comes under their ‘authority’. I find I really don’t gel with doctors, dentists, activity organisers, leaders of scouts etc because they seem to feel they can tell me how I should be raising my children and I seem to be incapable of not making it clear that it is none of their business! I have no problem with people asking questions but the tone that you need their approval for these kinds of decisions really gets my back up. I really enjoy the freedom and independence to set our own path that homeschooling gives us and one element is the freedom from the ‘experts’ that would otherwise be a much more frequent occurrence! During grazing, ruminants produce large amounts of saliva – estimates range from 100 to 150 litres of saliva per day for a cow.  The role of saliva is to provide ample fluid for rumen fermentation and to act as a buffering agent.  Rumen fermentation produces large amounts of organic acids, thus maintaining the appropriate pH of rumen fluids is a critical factor in rumen fermentation. After digesta pass through the rumen, the omasum absorbs excess fluid so that digestive enzymes and acid in the abomasum are not diluted. 
For example, consider the development of an organic, instant coffee. There may be a market opportunity for this product amongst an identified target group of consumers. The concept might test well, suggesting target consumers would seek out and choose this product if it were available. The packaging and packaged instant coffee might also be designed, leading to a set of experience requirements. However, there might be an issue in sourcing a sufficiently large supply of organic coffee to support envisioned distribution to the marketplace. Further, there might be technical constraints in the types of ingredients used to meet the standard of identity for an instant organic coffee.
