Thank you for this article. I wanted to share my experience as a parent who has turned away from vaccination. My 14 . child stepped on a big rusty nail in a plank of wood in a field where cows and other animals roam. It was a deep puncture wound that went right through her sneaker and into the foot next to her toe. I cleaned the wound as best I could with H2O2. Several other people were there and they were disturbed to learn she wasn’t vaccinated. It was quite frightening as a parent. I remembered reading the story of a young Dr Archie Kalokerinos who neary died of tetanus. As a doctor, when he suspected he was at risk, he took a course of antibiotics and the tetanus shot and yet he still came down with tetanus and almost died. He had been vaccinated and also took a booster shot. These measures did nothing for him. Anyway, after cleaning my daughter’s wound I contacted a doctor that does IV vitamin C and took her in for some infusions as I had seen some very good evidence of it’s ability to kill tetanus. She had several infusions (maybe 4 to 6 over ten days, somewhere between 30-45 grams) and passed through without any clear sign of infection. It was amazing to me how many other concerned kids and parents told my daughter to go get the tetanus shot as they knew she wasn’t vaccinated. It’s hard to know what the right thing is to do sometimes and also to have the courage to do it when you make an informed decision. I’m glad to say my daughter came through without incident. The vitamin C was expensive but I was glad it was available and that it all worked out well for her. Interestingly, the wholistic doctor I took her to, her first response was to advise us to go get her the shot but when my husband and I showed her the literature on vitamin C, she was impressed and keen to give it try.
Tibolone, also known as 7α-methylnoretynodrel, as well as 7α-methyl-17α-ethynyl-19-nor-δ 5(10) -testosterone or as 7α-methyl-17α-ethynylestr-5(10)-en-17β-ol-3-one, is a synthetic estrane steroid and a derivative of testosterone and 19-nortestosterone . It is more specifically a derivative of norethisterone (17α-ethynyl-19-nortestosterone) and is a member of the estrane subgroup of the 19-nortestosterone family of progestins. Tibolone is the 7α-methyl derivative of the progestin noretynodrel (17α-ethynyl-δ 5(10) -19-nortestosterone). Other steroids related to tibolone include the progestin norgesterone (17α-vinyl-δ 5(10) -19-nortestosterone) and the anabolic steroids trestolone (7α-methyl-19-nortestosterone) and mibolerone (7α,17α-dimethyl-19-nortestosterone).
